Before anyone asks: Got suspended for something admittedly kind of minor – proceeded to avoid suspension while trying to get Don to undo it. Don goes "bruh I can't undo it if you're avoiding suspension, you've locked yourself in". Proceeds to do it more, thus sealing her position as banned.

She gets suspended, tries avoiding it and digs herself deeper, then ultimately gets banned… and tries circumventing it… because that worked the first time…

At least when I was suspended for posting the entire story of The Shadow Over Innsmouth and the Bee Movie script I at least decided to try and not circumvent it. I can survive not participating in this site for over a week.

No, I think lisa's a lot like me. Were both intellectually smart (I'm better with math though instead of politics), but we both lack common sense.

Alright, while everyone's watching, let's have this be a quick lesson in what to do if you're in this situation.

If you get in trouble for something and you think it's BS, try contacting another user mod. User mods can remove suspensions, warnings, and bans. You want to contact them first because they're the most likely to respond, and yes, they can get overturned that way. We had a suspension not long ago reduced because it was too harsh and the user contacted another mod.

If the user mod agrees with the other mod, and you really really think it's BS, then you contact an admin. If they agree, then you'll just have to wait it out. That's your best course of action.

Whatever you do, do not evade suspensions or bans, or use alts to avoid getting in trouble after getting a warning. Suspensions end. Even bans can be undone after a while, if you show you've fixed whatever got you banned. Warnings "wear off" as long as you avoid repeating what you did.

But if you try to avoid and are found out, you're done. It will always count against your record, the admins won't overturn it, and you'll very very quickly push yourself towards a ban.

This one goes… basically for every site ever, really, except the ones where ban evading is the point (SA). But yes, if you ever get banned and you think it's unfair don't immediately make another account to start pretending nothing's wrong. Or in this case yelling at people.

Might as well close the political threads now, there's no point in having them and nothing to keep it open anymore.

The specific path I presented (user mod then admin) is something of relevance, though, as people seem to think the only way they'd ever get a warning or suspension undone is to ask an admin. It's not, and you might get a faster response from asking a user mod. Plus, admins don't seem to really want to deal with this stuff, so hey, better for everyone.

Btw, if you're noticing some odd gaps in replies (like for example Verbose in this thread), protocol is to spam ban any alt beyond the 1st/2nd one for anyone who got banned.

She's free to waste 5 minutes switching IP and making a new account, because spam banning takes 5 seconds and renders any mark left moot.

It's weird how she just looks like any other members outside of anything politics related. Politics, not even once.

To me, her actions were very unexpected, yet at the same time, very expected. Lisa's smart, but extraordinarily stubborn. She knows what she's talking about most of the time, but god help you if you ever call her out or correct her or simply disagree with her on something. She'll do everything in her power to drag you into a days long internet argument.

She's just taken to posting about the 4 black anti Trump guys who tortured a guy in the Facebook comments section of Gordon Ramsay's Lamb Sauce. She must be some kind of misunderstood political genius if she can somehow find a connection between the two.

It's kind of weird to think that she started out as a weird oddity on the Facebook posts and now she's back there. Gone full circle. It's almost like some weird KYM version of Dude Let Me In!, I'm A Fairy!

This is sad. I'm kind of sad.

Like, I wouldn't even agree with the reason for her suspension (at least, under the assumptions that what she described was correct and that she's been clean of warnings for a while), but then instead of going through the proper procedure, she gives the mods a legit reason to ban her and acts like it's a game in the process. That's why I'm a bit sad-- because this could have been sorted out pretty quickly if she was patient about it, and instead of being banned for doing something some variant style of what she normally does, it's for something unrelated. On top of that, it's not even like it's the first time she was suspended-- what gave, this time? In it's own right, at least for me, the gravity of ban evasion practically oozed out from its stated prohibition. She must have known, right?

I mean, at least we still have Colonel Sandor to deliver the Kentucky Fried Controversy in the Politics thread, but I see BGT's point. Like, I tried to be positive, but all the optimism pushed out the pessimism out of my body and it turned into a shovel instead, presumably to be used to bury the Politics thread.
