It's that time of the year again! You have 3 days to prepare for me to be painfully unfunny, as I try to keep records of new games up to date, for a massive crowd of 3 people.

Schedule based mostly on Gamesradar , Gry-online and Summer Game Fest

For some reason third of the presentations had yet to state their starting time or links, so keep your eyes peeled if you're interested.

They're definately showing it off, look at this.
https://personacentral.com/shin-megami-tensei-v-release-date-details-leak/

For Nintendo, I'm expecting more news relating to the following titles:

- Coverage of Splatoon 3 (more information on the game, possible gameplay footage outlining some of the fewer features, like the aerial combat shown in the previous trailer + maybe a new trailer?)

- More Breath of the Wild II info (and gameplay, just like Splatoon 3).

- New Smash character.

- I have a sliver of hope for Metroid Prime 4 update. I'll take anything. It's been ~4 years since they announced its existence, they are bound to drop some information regarding the game.

(I'd personally love for them to release the Metroid Prime trilogy for the Switch -- I've never got the chance to play them on the Wii.)

@Sasha
Prime 4 restarted development at Retro in early 2019 so it's been in the works to some degree for two and a half years now (it's clear the game was announced a bit too early, though of course I doubt Nintendo's higher ups expected Bandai-Namco would drop the ball so hard Nintendo had to yank the IP away from them), could at least be time to give us a small teaser similar to the Breath of the Wild 2 trailer from E3 2019.

I'm also hoping we get anything on Bayonetta 3. That game was also announced back in 2017 and we've seen nothing since. Kamiya keeps saying it is still being worked on but of course you gotta wonder what the hold up is, especially since in the time since Bayo 3 was announced we got a new IP from Platinum announced and released on Switch already (with the possibility a sequel could even already be in the works as Astral Chain sold way better than the team expected).

While Nintendo might have a Zelda 35th Anniversary centered Direct later this year (maybe next month in July to also help further promote Skyward Sword HD), if they don't then I'd like to see if Nintendo has any other plans for Zelda's anniversary. At the very least I expect they might do a double pack release of Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD for fall that unfortunately will likely have the same "available for a limited time only" thing they did with Mario 3D All-Stars.

I take it Sony's skipping this E3 then.

You would think that after last E3 being canceled and the launch of a new console generation this would be this would be prime for new announcements.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to news of Elden Ring, Babylon's Fall, and the unnamed game Monolith Soft is working on.

What only interests me is Nintendo, Capcom, and Square Enix.

Hopefully we'll hear more info on Final Fantasy XVI from Yoshi-P. And maybe new Resident Evil titles from Capcom…and Breath of the Wild II from Nintendo.

@BravelyDefect
Yeah, Sony pretty much quit, I'm guessing that May 27th State of Play was supposed to be their E3 presentation even though they showed a single game that was already announced. PS5 really has no games it seems.

Generally I have no particular expectations for this year, except maybe a proper Pokemon Arceus showcase. I really want that game to be good.

Oh, yeah. I think it would personally be a missed opportunity not to include Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD ports because while they were remastered on the Wii U, comparatively, the Wii U sold 13.6 million approximately whereas the Nintendo Switch 84 million and counting. I imagine ports for those games respectively would have way higher of a reach than its initial port on the Wii U.

. . . and for personal reasons, I'd be dying to replay those games. Twilight Princess is personally my favourite Zelda title, and although I had it for the Wii, my Wii U unit has been unplugged for years. I do not have the original Wii, and there're no areas I can re-install the Wii or Wii U in my house, so porting it on the Switch would be much more formidable and convenient for me.

Pictures have been going around showing a GameStop exclusive poster for Zelda's 35th anniversary, and the poster is confirmed legit. GameStop is also asking employees to be on hand and "doubling up" for next week. One piece of speculation already is Nintendo is probably gonna make some big Zelda related announcements and the poster will be an item that might come with pre-orders of something (Skyward Sword HD already has its own pre-order bonuses at certain retailers, so it'd have to be for something else, like the rumored Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD double pack, which the poster might even be hinting at as it has characters from both games present in the little triangles). Second speculation is that Sony and Microsoft are going to have more PS5 and Xbox Series X systems heading to GameStop locations in time for E3, and pre-orders for the long rumored new model of Switch might start after Nintendo's E3 Direct (if the thing is even announced that is, at this point no one's 100% certain if the darn thing even exists, especially given how often "credible leakers" have been wrong on possible reveal dates).

It's Summer Game Fest featuring Geoff Keighley and the Weezers

Before the announcements I've got a small update regarding the schedule. All the remaining presentations besides EA now have their timeslots.

Alright that's all the main announcements, there's also Day of the devs stuff which has a lot of great looking indie games, but I'm going to fast forward through those.

Axiom Verge 2 – Looks like Game Jam Unity game.
Toem: A Photo Adventure – Black and white 3D cartoony game about making photos. Looks very nice
Phantom Abyss – Gmod Deathrun: The Game
Garden Story – Has warm pixelart that is really pretty. Something like open-world 2D game
Soup Pot – Cooking game
A Musical Story – Jimi Hendrix recalls his trip on a deathbed. It might be a rhythm game, but I'm not sure.
Vokabulantis – Game made in stop motion. A 2D puzzle platformer.
Road 96 – A walking simulator where you meet wacky characters while hitchhiking.
The Wandering Village – RTS where you build a village atop of a giant turtle
Unbeatable – 2D Animated game with a decent sounding story and Guitar Hero main gameplay
Death's Door – Crow with a sword hack n slash. Looks charming.
Behind the Frame – 2D animated game about painting. Point and click? Looks like Ghibli movie
Elec Head – A simple logical platformer. I remember seeing it some time ago.
Demolition Robots K.K. – 4 player city demolition game with mechs
散歩 Walk – Surreal horror game, inspired by Silent Hill. Very distinct
Moonglow Bay – Voxel game about fishing and exploring a coastal town
Lootriver – 2D hack n slash game where you slash a lot of monsters. I'd call it a roguelite, but levels don't look generated.
Despelote – I don't really get it. A game about being a child and doing child stuff. I can't really describe the artstyle.
Last Stop – Interactive story game about bodyswapper, I think?
Annapurna presentation – July 29 12PM PDT / 3 PM EDT / 8PM BST Youtube Twitch

No Rayman. No Beyond Good and Evil 2.
However, Ubisoft could put Rayman in Mario + Rabbids.

You're not going to like this but during a boring E3 livestream of people talking about their mental healths and latinx and all that….

Anita Sarkeesian appeared livestream.

god the PC Gaming Show was honestly fucking awful

like devolver with none of the charm or wit of devolver and all of the corporate cringe of EA

you choose to center your gaming show around. a contest about the design of a fucking gaming PC? and also show several games that aren't even games yet but kickstarters?

You wanna go try and break the Tripwire devs out of the basement where they are presumably forced to make new KF2 seasonal maps for all eternity?

I was afraid it was DLC for Marvel's Avengers. Looks fresh and solid. Gamplay weirdly cuts between combat and walking. Also that's a lot of talking that might wear people out after 10 minutes.

And still no FFXIV announcement for the XBOX.

Only a few announcements were interesting. The rest just sucked.

Guys not gonna lie, I'm starting to think that inserting so many embeeds into my posts might be affecting this thread's client-side performance. As such I will not embed any more videos in my future posts, or at least until we hit page two.

Anyway, Capcom's Fapcom & Sapcom

Resident Evil 8 DLC

There will be DLC, but they just began working on it

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Seriously that's it? They didn't announce anything new.

I may dislike Sony as a company but this time I understand their decision to not going to this shitshow, and since they stopped going to E3 I question more the purpose of this thing, most of these announcements could be shown in a single video o in a fucking tweet, specially Capcom's!

Kudos to Microsoft for trying giving a shit on this E3.

And lets hope Nintendo brings some good shit tomorrow.

ngl I was underwhelmed by Capcom. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure MonHun Stories 2 and Great Ace Attorney will be great games, but the lack of anything new made me go "seriously, that's it?!" Like I know the info was grabbed by unethical means but we know from the Capcom leak from months ago that Capcom has quite a bit planned for the next couple of years, and I was hoping today we'd get to see maybe one or two things from it (hell I would have been cool with a new trailer on Pragmata, a game set for a 2023 release, that simply told us what Pragmata even "is"), like that apparent Resident Evil side-game that's rumored to a timed Switch exclusive.

So yeah so far Microsoft still had the strongest showing out of everyone. All that's left now are Nintendo and Bandai-Namco for tomorrow. For Nintendo I'm expecting games only, I can more or less guarantee that the "Switch Pro," if it's even real, won't be a thing at all tomorrow. What I think it's safe to say we'll see is we'll get a new update on BOTW2 (and likely a tentative release date of "Q4 2022" or something), new Splatoon 3 trailer showing a bit of the new multiplayer stuff and a release of "Q2 2022," next Smash Ultimate character, and at least some kind of thing about Zelda's 35th anniversary (be it a game announcement like a compilation pack or simply stating they'll have a Zelda anniversary centered Direct coming next month before Skyward Sword HD comes out). Anything else outside of this will be a surprise to me.

Anyone notice that as a publisher Microsoft has quietly built back to the glory days of MSGS?

Except now they own the souls of all the developers.
And we're completely at the mercy of executive whims and it could collapse into megacorp BS at any second.

What? No Breath of Fire? No Mega Man? No classic Disney game? No Clock Tower Remake? Not even a new Street FIghter V character? Just a new Phoenix Wright game, a couple new Monster Hunter games with updates, and a announced DLC for Resident Evil Village.

What a disappointment. Nintendo is my only hope now.

This entire E3 can be summed up as "Nintendo (and Devolver) wins by doing absolutely nothing"

Not even really anything new its all stuff most people keeping up with Capcom already knew was happening.
