YouTube Music "progressive" ad campaign

Everytime these commercials pop up to my face, I automatically Adblock them. This is not progressive; this is a cringeworthy cashgrab that panders to SJWs. This is just downright insult to humanity in general. Also, I heard from people's reviews that this app is shit.

Honestly, I don't know what the hell is YouTube thinking?

i don't get what's "cringey" about the videos themselves, they're just kinda boring, inoffensive and pointless but they're not in anyway socially progressive

i mean what's so "progressive" about showing an islamic women in a hijab listening to hip-hop? or a crossdresser/transgender listening to poppy music? or a latino/white women listening to r'n'b?

like woo hoo, people listen to music they like, no one cares really

also i'm pretty sure anyone who watches youtube gives not one shit about the ads, hence the popularity of adblocker

Don't care about who they are. If they make fire mixtapes they can stay.

I don't judge people because they are born to a certain race or wanted to be different from what gender they are assigned to. I judge people solely on what they are capable of.

These ads seem really forced and reek of SJW appeal, but nothing to fuss over. To me they're just some ads, not an insult to humanity. The app itself seems fine though if not a bit pointless.

I don't see anything wrong with these ads. It's just people enjoying their music.
however their was one ad that i thought was weird, and it was the one with the women crying in the plane. Just why?

I wouldn't know; I hate ads in general.
Even so, I can always ignore it even if it shows up otherwise. And believe me, that's a godsend.

Honestly, I don't give a shit about people's taste of music just like a man who likes boy bands for example. In fact, I'm pretty tolerant towards anyone's preferences in general so there is no point to criticize what people like, and it's totally fine by me. I do agree to most people who despise ads but either use adblock or ignore them. I have to admit that I'm an adblock user but I always have it turned off by default for good reasons.

Personally, there are those types of ads that I seem to disagree for the way it is marketed. It could be effective at times, but there were times that pretty much pissed off a lot of people. You guys remembered the #proudtobe. Yeah, that turned out to be a lulfest that I couldn't even take it too seriously anymore. If you get what I'm saying, it doesn't seem people agree the way google marketed it. In regard to YouTube music, people didn't seem to agree to those ads.

Based on the like/dislike ratio:

You'll always have "haters" hate dis wurd, but you'll also have people not agreeing how it turned out. I don't know any solution but they'll find a way…

I don't use adblock because I'm subbed to a bunch of Let's Players and would feel guilty about denying them ad revenue, so I sit through a lot of advertisements. Usually, it's a mild inconvenience, but yeah, these YouTube Music ads are pretty bad. They're up there with the Geico museum ads from a couple years ago. It's blatantly going for the progressive crowd, which I guess would be okay if the ads didn't play so damn often. Whenever the one with the hijab wearing lady rapping to Alphabet Aerobics comes on, I start getting really, really annoyed. Could it be deep buried bigotry in my subconscious? Maybe. I just know these ads make me wish my video would load faster.

Admittedly, the one with the Asian kid listening to hip hop was okay. The first dozen times I saw it.

There really needs to be a new rule added to the marketing textbooks:

The Ghostbusters Rule – If you market your product to progressives, you will alienate everybody else.

replace progressives with "specific audience"
