2 Week Minecraft Phase is a concept used in a series of memes about going through a two-week phase in which you play Minecraft, after which you take an indefinite break from the game until the next two-week Minecraft phase. Memes about this shared experience first appeared online as early as December 2020 and were popularized throughout 2023 and 2024, also inspiring video essays about why the two-week phase appears to be a common experience among gamers.

Memes about experiencing a two-week Minecraft phase, with the length of the phase sometimes varying, became increasingly popularized over the following years. On February 12th, 2021, TikToker[2] @ryanlarge07 posted a video captioned, "POV: your Minecraft phase is lasting longer than two weeks," garnering over 1.5 million views in three years (shown below, left).
