7 Year Old Boy Terry Crews is an exploitable image macro of actor Terry Crews wearing a sign that reads "7 Year Old Boy." The image comes from an episode of the comedy TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine where Crews' character is roleplaying as a 7-year-old boy. The image is primarily used to comment on actors who play characters significantly younger than they are.
Origin
The image originally comes from the season two premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, titled "Undercover," which aired on September 28th, 2014, on Fox. During the episode, Sgt. Terry Jeffords (played by Terry Crews) is carrying out a series of drills to test his fellow police officers, roleplaying as problematic citizens, including a 7-year-old boy.
The earliest recorded use of the image as a meme was in a 2017 tweet from Twitter[1] user @zdevtch. The tweet has since been deleted, but a screenshot can be seen below.[2]

In 2017, a meme about shonen anime using the image (seen below) was posted by Reddit user u/YBlingY to the subreddit /r/animemes,[3] gaining more than 900 upvotes in six months.
In 2018, Twitter[4] user @taleofcinema used the image in a meme satirizing Scarlett Johansson's casting (shown below), garnering more than 60,000 likes over a year.
A 2020 tweet featuring a version of the meme making fun of Hamilton (seen below) from a Lin-Manuel Miranda meme account received more than 140,000 likes over a year.[5]
