The Alien Trend is an animation meme in which a character is shown waving their hands in circular motions to the song "Beep Block Skyway" from Super Mario 3D World, then transforming into an alien after a series of beeps play. The trend was started on TikTok in February 2025 and further popularized in March, garnering viral spread on social media. The meme can be seen as a version of alienposting.

On December 17th, 2024, TikToker[1] @gogthealien posted a meme set to "Beep Block Skyway" from Super Mario 3D World[2] in which a dog transforms into an alien after the beeping in the song begins, garnering over 1.2 million views in three months.

On February 8th, 2025, TikToker[3] @wuszkovich posted a similar animation set to the same original sound in which Gabriel from the Russian cartoon 13 Kart waves his arms in circular motions, then transforms into an alien after the beeps, which he blinks along to. He repeats this and on the final time, turns to bones rather than an alien. The video garnered over 270,000 views in a month.
