Bouncing On It or Bounce On It is a slang expression referring to the act of a person having sex with a man in the riding position, aka on top, describing the rider's actions as "bouncing on" their partner's penis. The term became increasingly popularized throughout the 2020s. In 2024, the term became the subject of a meme trend on X / Twitter as a phrasal template in which users write a variation of "bouncing on it in a way X," with "X" being a humorous description of how the person wants to "bounce on it."

Origin

It is unclear when the first use of the term "bouncing on it" in the relevant context was posted online. However, the term became increasingly popularized throughout 2024 as the subject of memes.

One of the earliest known memes to use the term that year was posted by X[1] user @luvinthot on May 9th, 2024, writing, "when I try to stand on business but I end up bouncing on it," garnering over 3,900 likes in six months.

On July 25th, 2024, X[2] user @gtbsesh posted, "getting a masters degree on bouncing on it," garnering over 19,000 likes in four months. On September 10th, X[3] user @abolishcxps posted, "bouncing on it in a way that shows reverence for the lives lost on 9/11," garnering over 16,000 likes in two months.
