Busty Aunt Cass

About

Busty Aunt Cass refers to an image of Big Hero 6 character Aunt Cass leaning over a kitchen counter, photoshopped to have large breasts and visible cleavage. The image went viral as an image macro and exploitable, particularly on Reddit, in late February 2021 leading into early March.

Origin

On November 14th, 2016, DeviantArt^[1] user Rastifan uploaded a photoshopped image of the character Aunt Cass from the animated Disney film Big Hero 6 with large breasts and visible cleavage, titled "Aunt Cass – Cleavage Version" (shown below). The image gained over 75,000 views and 1,000 favorites in four years.

On December 4th, 2020, Redditor /u/delactebles posted an image macro featuring the top text, "Mom: The food is not that hot. The Food:" along with the image of Busty Aunt Cass to /r/memes,^[2] garnering over 47,400 upvotes in three months (shown below). This is the earliest successful image macro featuring the image. On the same day, Redditor /u/CoconutRod reposted the image to /r/DankMemes^[3] with an additional Go To Horny Jail image, garnering over 44,500 upvotes before being removed.

Spread

On December 4th, 2020, /u/Arjunsb01 made a post to /r/DankMemes,^[4] titled "Bonk," in which he shows the image of Busty Aunt Cass next to the un-photoshopped version for those unaware, garnering over 16,000 upvotes in three months (shown below).

On January 31st, 2021, YouTuber^[13] Jiang 989 uploaded a video in which they see how quickly they can get to the image of Busty Aunt Cass just by typing "Aunt Cass" into Google, garnering over 1 million views in just over a month (shown below, left). On February 3rd, YouTuber^[12] Speedrun over 18 uploaded a video attempting to beat the score, garnering over 111,000 views in a comparable span of time (shown below, right).

The image of Busty Aunt Cass didn't go viral as a meme until late February 2021. On February 27th, Redditor /u/organic_crystal_meth posted an image macro to /r/DankMemes^[5] featuring an image of Busty Aunt Cass talking to her son Hiro (shown below), an edit of an earlier image macro format that shows Aunt Cass without cleavage talking to Hiro.^[6] The post garnered over 76,800 upvotes in two days and helped inspire a number of other memes featuring the image over the next few days.

For example, on February 28th, Redditor /u/Thelazytimetraveller uploaded a similar image macro to /r/DankMemes,^[9] garnering over 82,300 upvotes in a day (shown below, left). On that same day, Redditor /u/MrickyHR uploaded a meme featuring the image to /r/DankMemes,^[10] garnering over 22,000 upvotes in a comparable span of time (shown below, right).

As countless numbers of the memes continued to flood /r/DankMemes, users began posting memes referencing the oversaturation and joking about the horniness of the subreddit's users, often using images of Cheems and the Go To Horny Jail meme (examples shown below, left and right).^[7][8]

On February 28th, Redditor /u/AnthropomorphicMango made a post to /r/ShittyMovieDetails^[11] reading, "In Big Hero Six, Aunt Cass’s blouse covers her cleavage. This is because the animators didn’t belong in horny jail" joking about the meme, garnering over 29,000 upvotes in 16 hours.
