Car Jumping Over Roundabout or Car Flying over Roundabout refers to a video of a car jumping over a roundabout in Rabien, Poland which became popular on Reddit and Youtube, spawning edits.
Origin
On April 11th, 2020, a man believed to be drunk drove his car directly at a roundabout at high speed in Rabien, Poland, sending it flying into the air and crashing into a cemetery.[1] This was recorded by a security camera, the footage of which was later posted to Facebook [2] by Telewizja Aleksandrów Łódzki, getting over 2.6 million views. Shortly after its posting, the unusual video begun to be used in memes about driving in roundabouts and flying cars. On April 22nd, 2020, Redditor Kryzdynu posted an I Bet There Will Be Flying Cars in the Future meme to /r/memes titled "Dude in Poland went YEET at roundabout"[3], where it gained over 9,000 upvotes in 4 years. (below, left) On October 20th, 2020, Redditor Dingeon_Master_ posted in /r/IdiotsInCars "The proper way to take a roundabout", garnering over 72,000 upvotes."[4] (below, right.)
