Cartoon Network Hacked by Animan Studios refers to a viral video that led to a hoax that Arabic Cartoon Network was hacked by a hacker who aired the gay male cartoon "Axel in Harlem" from Animan Studios on live TV. It gained viral attention after being uploaded to Twitter, Facebook and YouTube in March 2023 as many believed it was real.

Origin

On March 14th, 2023, Twitter[1] user @KODEINRCM tweeted a video (since deleted) that showed what appeared to be an Arabic Cartoon Network station that was hacked and playing the "Axel in Harlem" animation. Although the video has since been deleted, replies to it are still accessible on Twitter.[2][3] A screenshot of their tweet[9] was also provided in a YouTube[4] video uploaded by @KODEINRCM to their YouTube[4] channel RCM on March 24th, 2023, which gained roughly 43,000 views in two days (shown below).

In accordance with RCM's YouTube[4] upload, the video was reposted to Facebook[5] on March 15th, 2023, by the user Chahine Arfaoui, who gained roughly 75,000 views and 3,100 reactions in 11 days (shown below).

On March 17th, 2023, YouTuber[6] Cletus McYeetus reuploaded the video to YouTube, gaining roughly 2,800,000 views and 125,000 likes in nine days (shown below, left). On March 22nd, 2023, YouTuber[7] Homelessville Productions reuploaded a full quality version, gaining roughly 949,000 views and 27,000 likes in nine days (shown below, right).

On 23rd March, 2023, Youtuber[8] Vailskibum uploaded a video explaining the Cartoon Network hack by Animan Studios, receiving roughly 600,000 views and 24,000 likes in three days (shown below).


On 26th March, 2023, Youtuber[10] Jake 100memes uploaded a video of a variation of the meme, showing Cartoon Network hacked by MrBeast, receiving roughly 3,500 views and 73 likes in four months (shown below).
