About

Charli XCX "360 But Its…" Remixes refer to a series of remixes to the Charli XCX song "360" off her 2024 album Brat. The remixes became widespread on YouTube in July 2024 and generally feature either the "360" instrumental mixed with another artist's vocals or vice versa.

Origin

Charli XCX's Brat album was released on June 7th, 2024.[1] Over the following month, the album surged in popularity, and a music video for its opening song, "360," was released on May 10th, 2024 (shown below).

Remixes began appearing on YouTube roughly a month after the album's release. One early example was posted by YouTuber boyband[2] on July 3rd, 2024, gaining over 13,000 views in one month (shown below).

Spread

Over the course of July 2024, remixes in the form of mashups spread widely on YouTube. These either combined the instrumental of "360" with vocals from another song or vice versa. For example, on July 6th, 2024, YouTuber shaliek[3] remixed the song with "Element" by Kendrick Lamar, gaining over 67,000 views in one month (shown below, left). On July 8th, YouTuber borji[4] remixed it with Lamar's song "Not Like Us," gaining over 138,000 views in a similar timeframe (shown below, right).

Other viral examples include a July 18th remix posted by YouTuber jackhoeting 909[5] mashing the vocals of the track with the instrumental from "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac, gaining over 62,000 views in two weeks (shown below, left) and a mix by YouTuber Adamusic[6] posted on July 11th that blended "360" with "Feminomenon" by Chappell Roan, gaining over 93,000 views in three weeks (shown below, right).
