On August 8th, 2025, Redditor u/TemaTomo posted a screenshot of two Tumblr posts to the /r/CuratedTumblr^[2] subreddit showing the original version of the meme over a version reading, "Jerk your worthwhile penis," garnering over 1,200 upvotes in nine months.

The meme saw a notable resurgence in popularity in May 2026. On May 1st, 2026, X^[3] user @velvetdreaminxo posted a newer image of Charli XCX next to the meme, writing, "This photo is lowkey giving jerk your worthless penis," garnering over 20,000 likes in two weeks.

Later that day, X^[4] user @gears4brekfast posted both the original meme and the "worthwhile penis" version, writing, "oomf sent me this so I made it joyful," garnering over 68,000 likes in two weeks.
