Dancing Dog Gets Haircut refers to a viral video of a Pomeranian dog that appears to be dancing to music while it gets a haircut. The video has been both remixed and used as a reaction to various captions and jokes about glee.

Origin

On June 28th, 2018, Instagram [1] user @3puppy posted a video of a pomeranian receiving a haircut. In the video, the dog appeared to be dancing to the song "Time for the Moon Night" by the K-Pop group GFriend.[3] The post received more than 1.4 million views and 84,000 likes in six months.

Spread

The following day, Redditor [2] Plebsplease posted the video in the /r/aww subreddit. The post received more than 127,000 points (94% upvoted) and 1,700 comments in six months.

Additionally, that day, YouTuber Alicia Marie posted the video set to the theme song to the television series DuckTales. The post received more than 1.5 million views in six months.

On June 29th, Twitter [4] @_elvishpresley_ tweeted the DuckTales variation with the caption "the world: [at the edge of apocalypse] me: [oblivious, headphones on]." The tweet received more than 229,000 retweets and 490,000 likes in six months.

Several days later, Twitter[5] user @th0tcouture tweeted the DuckTales video with the caption "me getting ready to do something toxic." The tweet received more than 8,000 retweets and 22,000 likes in six months (shown below, center).
