Debby Ryan Impersonations refers to a trend on TikTok in which people poke fun at the way Radio Rebel actress Debby Ryan shyly smiles in many of the TV shows and movies she's in and try to impersonate the smile.
Origin
On April 29th, 2020, TikTok user @peppermintflower[1] posted a video in which she noticed a quirky smile from actress Debby Ryan in the 2012 Disney movie Radio Rebel and filmed herself imitating it. The video has been viewed over 4 million times and gained over 893,000 likes (shown below).

Spread
The video inspired a wave of other TikTok users to post impressions of Debby Ryan's smirk. Popular examples include a video posted by slimeybiscuit.soccergirl, which gained over 1.7 million likes (shown below left) and isabelb321, who gained over 680,000 likes (shown below, right)

The jokes spread to Twitter as well, where users joked about the emerging TikTok trend. For example, user @BLYANARAIZA[2] posted a Sulley-Wazowski image mocking Ryan, gaining 72 retweets and 630 likes (shown below, left). User @gonerboner[3] joked "Debby Ryan is the Halsey of acting," gaining over 18,000 retweets and 175,000 likes (shown below, right).
