Deku Playing with His Mother / Watashi wa Kita refers to an exploitable two-panel image from My Hero Academia showing a young Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, playing a game with his mom. His mother says "Help," prompting Deku to burst open and shout "I'm here!" The moment was parodied in various types of memes altering the scene's message.

Origin

On June 23rd, 2018, the 50th episode of My Hero Academia featured a flashback of a scene where Izuku's mother Inko is playing a make believe with her son. She says "Help me!" which causes Izuku to jump out of his hiding spot and cry "I am here!" (screenshot shown below).

Spread

After the episode aired, the moment was praised by many commentators who thought it was a good depiction of Inko.^[1] A tweet by @An_ca_te gained over 19,000 retweets and 56,000 likes (shown below, left). User @Nendonow did the same (shown below, right).

Meanwhile, other internet users began taking the moment and turning it into an exploitable. A post on /r/Animemes using Sneaky Tom in the exploitable gained over 2,700 points^[2] (shown below, left). Another posted to the sub gained over 1,500 points^[3] (shown below, right).
