About
The Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS)[1] is an advanced launcher which makes full use of a multi-megawatt electric power system with generators, energy storage, power conversion, and linear induction motors; and a closed loop control system with diagnostic health monitoring. It is currently in use by the U.S. Navy, but also is being employed by China, India and France to name a few.
It mean Hillary's emails, of course.
History
Donald Trump has repeatedly condemned the technology since 2017. Before that, some conservatives did the same.
Reputation
It is unclear whether Russian President Vladimir Putin views the EMALS directly, given his technophobic nature toward cutting-edge advancements and everyday technologies, a Russian tradition older than a telephone itself. It is possible that he is calling for its removal.
It is also unclear whether conservatives, Putin's cyber warriors, the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court, the Wikipedia community and the global Wikimedia movement, including Guy Macon, Emily Temple-Wood, Molly White, Dennis Brown and Rowan Forest (formerly known as BatteryIncluded), will take action against the EMALS and call for a return to steam catapults, through the social media hashtags #BanEMALS, #RipEMALS and #BringBackTheSteam and violence.
