On January 7th, 2024, the 81st Golden Globe Awards aired on American television.[1] Actress Emma Stone won "Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture" for her role in the black comedy film Poor Things.[1] On January 8th, the X[2] account @enews tweeted a clip of Stone reacting to the announcement and running up on stage, gaining over 2,100 likes in three days (shown below).

Later on January 8th, the video was retweeted by the X[3] account @PopBase, gaining roughly 107,000 likes in three days. Then, on January 9th, X[4] user @vigilantelor captioned the video, "me if there was an award for not shutting up abt taylor swift," gaining over 13,000 likes in two days and becoming the first viral memetic usage (shown below).
