About
Even If You Get Mad, Even If You Get Offended, So? is a phrasal template and Lip Dub meme made from a sound clip of the actress Monique during an interview in 2021. On TikTok, the sound has been used to showcase a blase faire attitude in not caring how others react to your own actions and words.
Origin
On November 24th, 2021, Kyra Henderson[1] uploaded an interview she had with Mo'nique in which the sound-clip comes from. Coming in the second part of the interview, at the 2:04 mark, the full phrase of 'even if you get mad, even if you get offended, so? Whatchu gonna do, cause I guarantee you, you can't beat me up' is first stated (shown below).
Spread
The sound was uploaded to TikTok in early November, used as part of a now deleted video by the TikToker Quay. One of the first uses of the audio was by the TikToker officialdiioradore[2] as a way to showcase them standing up to the popular pretty girl at school, getting over 1.1 million likes in two months (shown below).
