People Magazine has offered a "Sexiest Man Alive" award since 1985.[1] On November 14th, 2017, the magazine announced that their choice for Sexiest Man Alive for 2017 was country singer and judge on musical competition show The Voice Blake Shelton.[2] Shelton joked that he couldn't wait to "stick it" to his fellow judge Adam Levine, the Maroon 5 singer who had previously been named People's Sexiest Man Alive.

An hour after the announcement, Twitter user @TheJennC[3] joked that apparently actors such as Idris Elba, Chris Evans, and Jason Momoa had fallen off the planet, gaining over 2,200 retweets and 7,500 likes (shown below, left). He is not… Bad… But looks more like that uncle who drinks cheap whiskey whith salami portions, has pool championship trophies and beer glasses on the shelf, asks if you did find a girlfriend, plays poker online on his cellphone, makes dirty jokes during dinner, gets drunk with your father and then is filmed by your mother getting hurt falling in the pool, then sends the video to a comedy TV show, feels proud about it, calls the entire family to watch the show, then later discover that the fall damaged his liver full of alcohol making it bleed, then dies, and makes you miss him and his silly attitude, because in the end he was family and you will aways love him no matter what
