Overview

Help Post refers to concern over singer Post Malone health after performing in Nashville in March 2020. Videos of him falling on stage and displaying unusual behavior circulated Twitter and TikTok.

Background

On March 5th, 2020, Twitter user @stylesgaga reposted a TikTok video which has since been deleted of Post Malone performing in Nashville, Tennesee with the caption, "i’m genuinely concerned for post malone and his well-being right now" (shown below). The post garnered over 58,100 likes and 8,100 retweets in four days.

Developments

On March 5th, Twitter user @BlackySpeakz^[1] tweeted "Yo, protect Post Malone man.. I’ve been seeing these videos of him performing where he’s not looking too good. Bro looks like he’s crying out for help on stage.. All I’m saying is I hope he gets the help he needs if he’s hurting. I’d hate to see anything happen to him" (shown below). The tweet gained over 16,500 likes and 2,300 retweets in four days.

On March 6th, TikToker @sarah_rose_, who originally posted the deleted video, uploaded an explainer video (shown below, left). In the video she explains that she didn't think anything was wrong with Post Malone in the video she uploaded and she didn't mean for it to cause concern. That same day, TikToker @kait.jensen posted another performance video in which he acts unusually (Shown below, right). The video accumulated over 2.1 million likes in three days.

On March 6th, Twitter user @ohambrierose posted a video of Post Malone after the show with the caption, "he always gets super low to the ground during his performances. he tripped/lost balance & continued with the song. i know he drinks a lot & all but he’s completely fine after the show!!" (shown below). The video gained over 2,500 likes in three days. StayHipp^[3] and Popbuzz^[2] both published articles on the matter.
