Post Malone Cop is an image macro series featuring a picture of rapper Post Malone dressed as a police officer taken from an episode of YouTuber iDubbbz' web series Content Cop.

Origin

On October 11th, 2017, iDubbbz released a follow up to his Content Cop episode targeting YouTuber RiceGum titled "Content Deputy – AJP." At the end of the episode, iDubbbz walks outside of hotel after being kidnapped to find Post Malone dressed as a police officer, who then wags his finger at him (shown below). Within 48 hours, the video gathered upwards of 6.8 million views and 140,000 comments.

On October 12th, Redditor DisconnectedEDM submitted a screencap of Malone wagging his finger with the caption "I can't possibly rub another one out / My dick:" (shown below). Within 24 hours, the post gained over 2,600 points (97% upvoted) and 30 comments on /r/dankmemes.^[1]

Spread

Also on October 12th, an anti-meme variation reached the frontpage of /r/bonehurtingjuice^[5] (shown below, left). The following day, REdditor MorningKnight posted a Skull Trumpet edit of the image (shown below, right). In the coming days, several posts about the image macro series reached the front page of /r/MemeEconomy.^[2][3][4]
