JiDion Catches EDP445 Again

Overview

JiDion Catches EDP445 Again refers to YouTuber JiDion exposing YouTuber EDP445, also known as EatDatPussy445 or EDP, allegedly messaging a 15-year-old girl named Kayla Hoskins in JiDion's Discord server, building on EDP445's prior pedophilia allegations. The controversy occurred when JiDion was preparing to interview EDP445 on Rumble in June 2023, resulting in him joining JiDion's Discord server and then allegedly messaging Hoskins on Instagram. In turn, JiDion pivoted the interview to instead exposing EDP. A clip of JiDion in a cupcake costume confronting EDP was leaked on TikTok by JiDion in September 2023, resulting in JiDion revealing more content about catching EDP in anticipation of the eventual, full-length video.

Background

Precursor Allegations

Allegations against EDP445 in relation to grooming and pedophilia first surfaced in July 2020, when an Instagram account posted screenshots and audio messages allegedly from EDP445 who requested a picture of a 16-year-old's breasts. Similar allegations against EDP445 snowballed going into 2021, culminating in an April 2021 video posted by the YouTube channel Predator Poachers which exposed EDP445 for messaging a 13-year-old decoy.

In the years following Predator Poachers' video, memetic content about EDP445 being a groomer surfaced across social media. In December 2022, posts on X^[1] exposed EDP again for messaging a minor.

Kayla Hoskins Speaks Out

On August 27th, 2023, Kayla Hoskins posted a video to YouTube^[2] called "I’M EDP445s VICTIM !!!!!!" which gained roughly 23,800 views in eight days (shown below). In the video, she mentioned how JiDion had met EDP445 in real life and confronted him. On September 3rd, 2023, the X^[3] account of DramaAlert reposted Hoskins' video, gaining roughly 9,800 likes in two days. Other discourse about Hoskins' video and allegations surfaced in the /r/EDP445^[4] subreddit during the same timeframe.

JiDion's Video

On September 3rd, 2023, JiDion posted a video to his TikTok^[5] account that showed a clip from an apparently upcoming video featuring EDP445. JiDion was seen in a cupcake costume confronting EDP outside of a dialysis clinic. JiDion wrote in the description, "Full vid coming soon," and the video received roughly 12.5 million plays and 2.1 million likes in two days (shown below).

On September 3rd, 2023, multiple X^[6][7] accounts with large followings started to repost JiDion's TikTok, including DramaAlert which wrote, "EDP445 has been caught again by JiDion for trying to meet up with a minor. 🧁‼️" gaining roughly 92,100 likes in two days. Also on September 3rd, JiDion posted to Instagram^[8] still images from the scene he leaked, gaining roughly 808,500 likes in two days (shown below).

On September 4th, 2023, JiDion posted a video to his secondary YouTube^[9] channel called "JiDion Confronts Edp!" in which he spoke about the TikTok^[5] video and what was going on. He stated that EDP445 had contacted a girl through his Discord server around the time that EDP was added to it in anticipation of JiDion's later failed Rumble interview which was supposed to happen in June 2023.^[10] JiDion stated that he pivoted to covering the controversy after he was contacted by the 15-year-old victim, Kayla Hoskins. He posted the TikTok^[5] video because Hoskins had posted her YouTube^[1] video. Over the course of two days, JiDion's YouTube^[9] video gained roughly 1.7 million views (shown below). At the end of the video, JiDion surprised EDP by entering a Discord call with him, prompting EDP to exit the call.

Clips of the aforementioned video were reposted to TikTok^[11] and X^[12] in the days that followed.
