Overview
#JusticeForLena, also known as #HaleyMoralesIsOverParty, refers to an ongoing controversy regarding YouTuber Haley Morales and the alleged suicide of one of her fans Lena. Morales, who has been accused of cyberbullying Lena, has defended herself on social media as fans call for her to be held accountable for Lena's mental health issues and alleged suicide, which remains unconfirmed.
Background
On July 29th, Twitter [1] user @dancetoemily tweeted a photograph of Ariana Grande and the caption, "me arriving at the #haleymoralesisoverparty" (shown below, left). The post was made in reference to an ongoing issue between Morales, an influencer boasting as many 820,000 YouTube subscribers and 50,000 followers on Instagram, and her fan Lena who allegedly attempted suicide earlier that month.
That day, Instagram[2] user @stuckytingz posted a conversation between Morales and unnamed recipient talking about Lena (Instagram name: @softhvley). They captioned the post "y’all- #haleymoralesisoverparty" (shown below, right).

That day, Twitter user @everytimeseavey tweeted a video of Grande dancing and the caption "maybe if she did this #haleymoralesisoverparty." The post received more than 70,000 views and 400 likes in less than one week (shown below).

The following day, Twitter[3] @adorheble tweeted a thread explaining the controversy in full. She writes, "A girl named Lena (softhvley On insta) was a huge supporter of Haley’s and was a Stan account of Haley. Haley told another Stan account that Lena was “annoying” and that she didn’t like her. Lena dealt with major hate from other stan accounts and other issues in real life." The post received more than 360 likes in less than one week (shown below, left).
The thread goes on to explain that Morales had posted messages stating that she is not responsible for the mental health of Lena (shown below, center). The tweet states, "5. She says that she was 'led on to say those things' about Lena and that she didn’t mean any harm by them. She says in a response to someone that she 'shouldn’t be blamed for a suicide' and 'apologizes.'"
Additionally, Morales' mother and manager stepped into defned her duaghter. The tweet states, "Her mother then begins to respond to the comments on her own instagram (mebrandi on insta). She starts to copy and paste 'I will sue you for claiming false information and causing defamation of character. Anyone who blames Haley for Lena’s suicide.' She disabled the comments" (shown below, right).



According to The Daily Dot, [4] "A source, who requested to remain anonymous for fear of facing cyberbullying, told the Daily Dot that Lena attempted suicide a second time this week and has been declared braindead."
