Overview

The Mevans and Tyrone Discord Beef refers to a feud between two Discord users, Mevans and Tyrone, allegedly regarding Mevans breaking up with his girlfriend, named JBear, in a Discord server because he was ranting about Tyrone stealing his kill in a Fortnite quest. The Mevans and Tyrone drama went viral on Twitter / X in August 2025, sparking viral memes about the two. Currently, Mevans goes by @MevansOdyssey on X and Tyrone's Discord name was allegedly NefariousTrophy65.

Background

On August 10th, 2025, X^[11] user @MevansOdyssey, known as Mevans, tweeted a screenshot of a Discord chat he had with a user named JBear, his alleged girlfriend, who he claimed cheated on him with a guy named Tyrone. Over two days, the tweet gained over 3,100 likes (shown below).

On August 11th, 2025, X^[1][2] user @GothicBertram posted two tweets, allegedly showing the full message chain previewed in the abovementioned screenshot.

The screenshots alleged that Mevans and JBear began fighting because Mevans was ranting about a guy named Tyrone, who stole one of his kills in a Fortnite quest. Mevans can be seen writing, "I'm so fucking mad at Tyrone." It then appears that JBear breaks up with Mevans as his rant continues.

One of the screenshots in @GothicBertram's first tweet^[1] shows a Discord user named NefariousTrophy65, who had the name Tyrone in their "About Me" section.

In the initial tweet, X^[1] user @GothicBertram wrote, "Mevans just broke up with his girlfriend in a Discord over a fucking Fortnite quest, all because this dude he ranted about named Tyrone stole a kill 💀," gaining over 8 million views and 64,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Before his beef with Tyrone, Mevans, currently known as @MevansOdyssey on X,^[6] was a famous Twitter user, who previously posted to the account @Mevans2703, which has over 100 screenshots logged on the Internet Archive,^[3] ranging from 2019 to 2023, as of writing. The account has since been deleted.

Mevans's old tweets have been reposted across social media sites like Instagram ^[4] and iFunny. ^[5] He is also known for starting the Poop Fartious meme in 2022 (shown below).

Online Reaction

On August 10th, 2025, before X^[1] user @GothicBertram's tweet, X^[10] user @VelocityCaptain shared a video of Charleston White talking about late rapper King Von, captioned, "Mevans talking about Tyrone." The post gained over 8,000 likes in two days (shown below).

On August 11th, X^[7] user @HYDR0SSITY tweeted, "If I were Tyrone I’d be scared AF. Big Mev’s probably placing a hit on him 😭," gaining over 850 likes in a day.

Later on August 11th, 2025, X^[8] user @D3VILTR1GGER quote-tweeted the aforementioned post, attaching a crudely doctored Discord message, showing Mevans saying, "Here's the deal, I want this guy killed, clean shot." In a day, the tweet gained over 11,000 likes (shown below).

On August 11th, Mevans posted a tweet^[9] on his account @MevansOdyssey, showing one of his own messages in a Discord channel about leaving the server indefinitely, captioned, "It is a sad day in Mevtopia." In a day, the tweet gained over 16,000 likes (shown below).
