A Goon is a common character often found in crime-related media, often hired muscle who only answers to the Don or "da boss" he uses his strength and intimidating demeanor to threaten people and is often found in the company of other goons. Usually a lower level henchman, goons are typically very unintelligent crooks and are easy outwitted, however with their lack of wit they make up for in their deviousness. Often hired by higher-level gangsters to do the dirty work, like "rubbing somebody out." or "bumpin' someone off." Goons frequently enjoy taking part in elaborate schemes like Bank robberies, kidnapping, torture and muggings.
