Hiro Kisses Zero Two Remixes refers to a series of video remixes mostly popular on Tumblr in which users dub nonsensical audio over a dramatic scene from Darling in the Franxx featuring the characters Hiro and Zero Two having an emotional exchange.

Origin

The scene comes from episode 15 of Darling in the Franxx, which aired April 21st, 2018.^[1] The scene shows a dramatic exchange between the characters Hiro and Zero Two in which Zero Two is ashamed of a wrong she's done to Hiro, and Hiro reassures her. The two tearfully kiss (shown below).

Spread

On April 22nd, 2018, Tumblr user tropiyas posted an edit of the scene which overdubbed computerized barking sounds over the characters, gaining over 34,000 notes (shown below).

This was the first of many edits that appeared on Tumblr in the following days. Some of the most popular edits include one by user actualtriangle which paired the scene with the audio from the Dog of Wisdom video, gaining over 43,000 notes on Tumblr (shown below, top) and an additional 12,900 retweets and 32,000 likes^[2] on Twitter. Another popular post by user johnnyongbosch uploaded the scene with completely nonsensical audio, gaining over 15,000 notes (shown below, bottom).
