Walmart pranks is a steadily growing meme that is popular on both youtube and forums. Titles for such endeavors usually are called 100+ ways to get kicked out of Wal-Mart, How to get kicked out of Wal-Mart, or Wal-Mart pranks. On forums, the pranks are not carried out, but listed. A variety of ways to get kicked out are created, but not attempted. Those who are more "hardcore" will carry out these acts, video tape them, and get kicked out.

A common policy in a Walmart is the banning of video recording at all times. As such, actually taping a Walmart prank is often difficult. However, some people manage to record the pranks, which are posted on youtube for others to see.

While the origins of the Walmart pranks are unclear, videos of Walmart pranks have considerably increased in numbers in the past decade, a sign of it's increasing popularity. Forums range from a vast amount of dates, seeming to start around 2002, but with more research could find earlier dates
