Hummus is a meme based around a short rap-styled song performed by the main characters of the Cartoon Network series The Regular Show, Mordecai and Rigby.
Origin
The original song appeared in Season 2, episode 4 "Party Pete", which first aired on the February 21st 2011. In the episode, Mordecai and Rigby are getting ready for a party and rapping along to what they had bought in preparation for it.
Lyrics
Both: We gonna party!
Mordecai: Got some chips, got some dips.
Rigby: Some call me cheap, bit of a freeloader,
but I bought cups for that old school soda.
Mordecai: I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast,
but I bought some hummus for these mini-toasts.
Rigby: Hummus!
Mordecai: Hummus!
Both: HUMMUS!
At this point Benson, their boss, comes in asking "Why are you guys yelling hummus?"
