About

"I Like Those Odds" is a memorable quote uttered by the title character on the American science fiction television series The Mandalorian. The meme has been used to express feelings of not being phased by danger.

Origin

Footage of the character saying the line likely premiered at the Star Wars Celebration, which was held between April 11th through 15th in 2019.[1] On April 14th, 2019, Redditor[4] Obiwanus_Kenobicus posted a photograph of The Mandalorian (portrayed by Pedro Pascal) saying the line (shown below).

T LIKE THOSE ODDS

The line is likely a reference to a memorable quote uttered by the character Han Solo (portrayed by Harrison Ford) in the film 1980 film Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. In that film, Solo says, "Never tell me the odds."

Spread

On April 16th, Redditor Rechtschraibfehler shared an image from the film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith edited to feature the Mandalorian (portrayed by Pedro Pascal) and the line (shown below, left).[2]

On April 19th, a Redditor[3] posted a variation in the /r/anthologymemes subreddit (shown below, right).
