About

I Love Refrigerators refers to a series of video remixes made from a local commercial for Florida-based home appliance chain Appliance Direct in which store spokesperson and owner Sam Pak walks past several refrigerators before saying to the camera, "I love refrigerators!"

Origin

The video featuring the scene was uploaded to YouTube on August 20th, 2015 by Pak (shown below). It appears to be a compilation of several Appliance Direct commercials and has gained over 38,000 views.



Spread

On February 5th, 2018, YouTuber Typical Stan uploaded the scene by itself, gaining over 247,000 views (shown below, left). On the 7th, YouTuber Drew Kuzman did the same, gaining over 2.4 million views (shown below, right). This was posted to /r/videos[1] on the 12th, gaining 370 points.



After that video was posted, other YouTubers began making edits of the scene and the original commercial. On February 9th, youshallnotpassprdct posted a YouTube Poop of the commercial, gaining over 18,000 views (shown below, left). On March 7th, YouTuber Spicy Burrito Productions posted a music video remix of the commercial, gaining over 2,300 views (shown below, right).
