About

I Love X But I Would Never Ever Ever Ever Ever Never Y is a "phrasal template": meme format based on an image of a Soyjak wearing a T-shirt with the phrase. Popularized on Soyjak.party in late May 2023, the recaption format saw spread on the site and on Twitter in the following weeks.

Origin

On May 21st, 2023, an unknown Soyjak.party user posted a version of the Cobson Soyjak with large eyes and wearing a T-shirt reading "I love violent videogames, but I would never ever ever ever ever never kill people, I promise" (exact origin unconfirmed, shown below). On that day, the image was archived on the Soyjak-themed image-hosting website Soybooru[1] by an anonymous user.

I But I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER kill people i promise violent videogames
