Squirreljak refers to a variety of thematic Soyjaks depicted as squirrels that were popularized on Soyjak.party in the early 2020s. Squirreljak is commonly associated with the catchphrases Nigga I'm Nuts and That Guy's Nuts.

Origin

On August 6th, 2021, an anonymous 4chan /qa/^[1] user posted a squirrel edit of the Impjak Soyjak, captioning the post, ">you WILL feed the squirrels" (image and post shown below, left and right).

On August 7th, an anonymous user then posted the image, commenting, "nigga im so nuts" (shown below). In the following days, the catchphrase achieved a strong association with the image, appearing in numerous posts on /qa/.

Spread

On August 22nd, 2021, the earliest found derivative version of Squirreljak was posted in /qa/^[2] together with a Soyjak meme depicting Impjak gathering Shroomjaks in the forest (shown below, left and right).^[3]

Following the migration of the Soyjak community to Soyjak.party, multiple variants of Squirreljak were posted and circulated on the board, also appearing in various Soyjak-related memes on the imageboard and other sites. For example, on January 30th, 2022, Twitter user @ActualFishReal posted a Say the Line, Wojak meme featuring GigaChad and Squrreljak. On February 1st, Redditor koonsbmw1 then reposted a screenshot of the tweet to the /r/LesbianInsectBrothel^[4][5] subreddit (shown below, left), gaining over 1,400 upvotes in eight months.

On Soyjak.party, Squirreljak sometimes appears in memes together with its version Grey Squrreljak, with the Squirreljak seething over the invasion of grey squirrels in Britain (example shown below).
