The drawing went viral in a series of image macros and caption memes on Twitter / X in mid-2025. It typically represented a profound feeling of hope, sometimes against a person's will. The image's meaning was also akin to Hopium.

On April 7th, 2025, Paradox Forum^[8] user BenomXDD posted a drawing of a shirtless Soyjak strapped down, getting injected by a giant syringe reading, "Hope" (shown below). The image was captioned, "HOPIUM."

On April 16th, 2025, X^[1] user @alob_e tweeted the image, captioning it, "We're halfway through the week." The tweet received over 60,000 likes in two months (shown below).

On April 18th, 2025, X^[2] user @heyilyforever tweeted the Soyjak Shot With Hope Syringe image, captioning it, "Listening to Jeff Rosenstock in weather above 50 degrees," concerning the American singer-songwriter. Over two months, the tweet gained roughly 3,500 likes (shown below).

On April 30th, X^[3] user @maguhnolia quote-tweeted a post that asked, "Ever see art so good you cried?" attaching the Soyjak Shot With Hope Syringe image. The post gained over 139,000 likes in a month (shown below).
