About
"Ice Cream So Good" is a song created by the NPC streamer and influencer Pinkydoll in collaboration with the group FashionNova. The song, referencing Pinkydoll's viral catchphrases from her TikTok Live streams that went viral online in the weeks before, was teased in late July 2023 as part of an ongoing set of announcements by the TikToker.
Origin
Shortly after Pinkydoll's NPC streams became a viral topic online around mid-July 2023, discussions about using her audio soundbites for a song began to emerge on various social media platforms. For example, on July 17th, 2023, the musical artist and producer Timbaland uploaded a TikTok on his official channel[1] in which he sampled Pinkydoll saying his name and several of her catchphrases, earning over 150,000 views in two weeks while showing an example of how to sample Pinkydoll for music creation (shown below).

On July 29th, Pinkydoll then uploaded an announcement to her TikTok[2] about her collaboration with the group FashionNova with a short sample of the song, called "Ice Cream So Good," which featured her famous response to her fans on TikTok Live. The TikTok, which earned over 1.2 million views in two days, closed with some vocalizing and hinting at her singing ability (shown below).

The same day, July 29th, 2023, Pinkydoll uploaded just the snippet teaser from her announcement video, with people almost immediately taking it and starting to make their own videos using her lines. For example, on July 30th, TikToker OllieDreamer[3] uploaded a TikTok using the Pokemon Vanilluxe due to the Pokemon being in the shape of an ice cream cone, earning over 500 likes in one day (shown below).

Pinkydoll's announcement of her debut song also received widespread media coverage upon release from various news sites. For example, Indy100[4] published an article titled "Viral TikTok star PinkyDoll set to release debut song" on July 30th that discussed her music release.
