If Y'all See My Baby Daddy At Pride, DO NOT INBOX ME. I Already Know refers to a viral 2019 Facebook post by D'andra La'Shun Peek after she found out her "baby daddy" was at the LGBTQ+ Pride Month parade. The post became a prevalent catchphrase meme on the internet over the following years, resurfacing during June 2024 in humorous posts about Pride Month. A screenshot of the post also inspired recaption memes replacing "baby daddy" for memorable characters or celebrities' names, accusing them of being queer.

Origin

On June 10th, 2019, D'andra La'Shun Peek posted on Facebook the following phrase, "If y'all see my baby daddy at pride, DO NOT INBOX ME.. I already know 🙄😒." The post has since been deleted but a screenshot of it was uploaded on iFunny^[1] a few days later on June 17th by user @Iover_2013, which amassed nearly 90 reactions in five years.

La'Shun's Facebook started to get recaptioned by netizens over the following years as people replaced "baby daddy" with the names of memorable characters or celebrities. For example, on June 9th, 2024, X^[2] user @itfsiguro uploaded a version of the meme as if the Jujutsu Kaisencharacter Aoi Todo posted about about Megumi Fushigoro being at the LGBTQ+ Pride parade. The post (seen below, left) received more than 26,000 likes and 3,200 reposts in three days.

On June 1st, 2024, X^[3] user @sailorbit replaced "baby daddy" in the screenshot meme for the K-pop group's Loona logo (seen below, bottom), which received roughly 200 likes and 40 reposts in two weeks.

The "If Y'all See My Baby Daddy at Pride" meme also became a prominent catchphrase for ironic captions on X, resurfacing every Pride month. For instance, on June 1st, 2024, X^[4] user @shakethissoon posted a fan edit of Jonah Hauer King as Christian in This Is The Night film using the catchphrase as caption (seen below), which amassed more than 880 views and 34 likes in two weeks.
