If Your Lawyer's Pants Look Like This or If Your Boss Looks Like This is a phrasal template and copypasta popularized on Twitter in 2022 where an image of someone in a specific, comedic outfit is shown alongside a caption that makes an assumption about the type of person who might wear the outfit. The meme was first posted to Reddit in November 2019 and gained viral spread, becoming further popularized on Twitter in 2022 after the original image (showing a man wearing oversized pants) was reposted with a new caption.
Origin
On November 23rd, 2019, Redditor GameOfLevels posted a photograph to /r/funny[1] of a man's lower half, showing him wearing oversized pants, writing, "If your lawyers pants look like this you going to jail," garnering over 46,000 upvotes in just over three years (shown below). The meme gained viral spread across social media, inspiring several viral reposts over the following years on sites including Instagram[2] and Facebook.[3]

On August 19th, 2022, Twitter[4] user @workweekinc posted the same image captioned, "If your boss looks like this, you won't be working remotely," garnering over 100,000 likes in seven months (shown below).
The meme continued to spread over the following months. On October 11th, Twitter[5] user @litcapital posted a version of the meme about financial advisors, garnering over 27,000 likes in five months (shown below, left). On March 23rd, 2023, Twitter[6] user @TurnerNovak posted a version of the meme that gained over 13,900 likes in a day (shown below, right).
