IShowSpeed You'll Never See It Coming, also known as Speed You'll Never See It Comin' Meme, refers to a viral video and reaction meme taken from a livestream by YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed in which he's playing the custom game "THE IMPOSSIBLE OBBY"^[2] on Roblox that plays the song "Last Surprise" by Lyn Inaizumi from the Persona 5 soundtrack when he dies, particularly the lyrics "You'll never see it coming."

The stream took place in early August 2026, spreading over the following days as people pulled out and edited different rage-inducing moments and crashouts of Speed as he kept dying and the song played in the background with the lyrics appearing on screen, causing him to dance, lipsync and react to it in exaggerated ways.

Origin

The stream, titled "NOT ENDING UNTIL I BEAT THE HARDEST GAME ON ROBLOX," took place on August 2nd, 2026, on IShowSpeed's YouTube^[1] channel. During the stream, which garnered over 5.4 million views and 149,000 likes in five days, Speed is seen attempting to beat the Roblox custom game "THE IMPOSSIBLE OBBY," a notoriously difficult obstacle course. He ultimately plays it for roughly five hours, dying nearly 680 times before beating it.

Around the 1:19-hour timestamp, Speed is seen trying to navigate through part of the obstacle course, falling into a white hole that kills him and triggers the song "Last Surprise" from Persona 5 to play. During the death animation, a lyric video plays, flashing the lyrics against a white background.

Over the course of roughly 20 minutes, Speed plays through this part of the custom game, repeatedly dying and being forced to listen to the song as he gets increasingly frustrated and reacts to the song by mouthing the words, dancing and making humorous faces.

The song used in the Roblox game and meme featuring IShowSpeed is originally from the soundtrack for the JRPG Persona 5, which was released on September 15th, 2016. The track is titled "Last Surprise" by Lyn Inaizumi.

Over the following days in early August 2026, various clips of IShowSpeed during the "you'll never see it coming" part of the stream were reposted and edited online as they were used in memes.

For instance, on August 2nd, 2026, YouTuber Speedy Boykins posted a supercut editing all of the rage moments from the Speed stream, titled "iShowSpeed Plays The HARDEST Roblox Game Ever (ALL CRASH OUTS)," garnering over 19,000 views, 570 likes and 60 comments in four days.

On August 3rd, 2026, TikTok^[3] user straight.clipzz__10 posted a clip from the stream showing Speed dancing to the song, saying he got ragebaited by the game, garnering over 28,300 likes and 520 comments in three days.

That same day, TikToker^[4] clipsbyjam shared another edit of Speed referencing the I Understand It Now meme before dying again as the song plays, receiving over 143,300 likes and 1,350 comments in three days.

Also on August 3rd, 2026, TikTok^[5] user shsuwb72 used a clip of Speed in a text caption meme about someone ragebaiting them, but they remember they "have photos that can ruin his life," garnering over 17,600 likes and 420 comments in three days.

Later that day, TikToker^[6] theegreatangel posted an edit of Speed reacting to the song over the course of the segment, creating a supercut and garnering over 37,700 likes and 940 comments in three days.

Also that day, TikTok^[7] user thepostmandelivers shared another clip of Speed dancing and lip-syncing to the song after dying, receiving over 120,900 likes and 1,600 comments in three days.

On August 5th, 2026, TikToker^[8] treelmw shared an edit green-screening himself into the background behind Speed and reacting to him during the segment, garnering over 3,800 likes and 130 comments in a day.
