You'll Never See It Comin' / "Last Surprise" to a series of YouTube videos that use a song from the video game Persona 5 to emphasize a surprise ending. Some of the videos contain Persona 5 Battle Menu Parodies.

Origin

On April 4th, 2017, the video game Persona 5 was released for Playstation 4. The game's soundtrack includes the song "Last Surprise," composed by Shoji Meguro and featuring vocals from Lyn Inaizumi, which acts as the game normal battle theme.[1] Several days later, on April 8th, YouTuber Euphemism for Magic uploaded a Just Give 'Em One of These that ends with the song "Last Surprise" (shown below, right). Within a month, the video received more than 1.1 million views.

Spread

Soon after, YouTuber's began adding the song to video clips when a dramatic change or surprise occured. On April 10th, YouTuber TephraDan uploaded a prank video (shown below, left) that played "Last Surprise" when the video climaxed, receiving more than 94,000 views. Several days later, on April 16th, YouTuber KOS 超人王 uploaded a clip (shown below, right) of Saturday Night Live's "Roxbury" sketches that ends with the song. The video received more than 27,000 views.


On May 1st, 2017, YouTuber MorganaDays posted a series of videos set to the music, gaining over 1.5 million views (shown below, left). On July 5th, 2018, YouTuber ZappahVideo posted a remix of Dancing Security Guard that gained over 5.6 million views (shown below, right).
