Random Kid, also known simply as Random Kid Meme, refers to a reaction image, GIF and exploitable that began gaining traction in TikTok comment sections as a sticker in early 2026. The image is derived from a livestream by YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed in late December 2025, in which a seemingly random kid roasts him while the two are riding in a bus or van, which would later be highlighted through editing on clip channels, with the most well-known including a red arrow pointing at him with the text "random kid."

Similar to the Who Is This? meme, it's usually used to express confusion about who someone is in a post, often in a dismissive manner or as a form of ragebait.

Origin

The image is derived from an IShowSpeed stream that took place on December 31st, 2025, in which an unknown young man managed to slip into Speed's vehicle and remain undetected until it began moving. Upon realizing the kid was in the van, Speed turns and asks who he is, attempting to ragebait him until the kid flips it on him and calls him gay.

The original Random Kid edit of the Speed stream clip was uploaded by the YouTube channel deadzzzshorts on December 31st, garnering over 10 million views, 272,000 likes and 3,570 comments in five months.

Spread

The clip quickly spread on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube through various edits. On January 1st, 2026, TikTok^[2] user @beep6000 uploaded an edit of the stream footage, adding an arrow pointing toward the young man and the words "random kid." The post received over 567,600 views and 35,800 likes in less than three months, and would be the source of the Random Kid reaction image and GIF.

TikTok users immediately saw the potential for the new reaction image, commenting on the post with screenshots as the Random Kid meme began to circulate the platform.

As the clip continued to spread on TikTok in early 2026, the Random Kid reaction image and GIF continued popping up in comment sections, often with variations.

On January 2nd, 2026, TikTok^[3] user @speednish posted an edit of the previous edit, which received about 78,400 views and 2,650 likes in less than three months.

Once again, the comment section featured the reaction image and its variations as TikTok users replied with examples of the meme.

On January 3rd, 2026, the YouTube^[1] channel HyperSpace Edits reposted the edit from TikToker @beep6000, which received over 62,000 views and 50 comments in about three months.

On March 22nd, 2026, Redditor Caremi76 posted a Zenless Zone Zero reanimation of the original clip to the /r/AngelsOfDelusion^[4] subreddit, garnering over 1,500 upvotes and 20 comments in three days.
