About
Say Wallahi Bro is a series of memes based on a viral video of streamer IShowSpeed tearfully yelling, "Say wallahi bro," while experiencing regret after buying a T-shirt for his Roblox avatar listed at 18 million Robux (in-game currency), which was purportedly worth about $225,000 at the time. The clip was uploaded online in May 2023 and went viral over the following years.
In March 2026, the audio of Speed saying "Say wallahi bro" became the subject of memes, particularly on TikTok, as several altered versions of the audio went viral, including versions that pitch-up Speed's voice. Some viral versions of the meme set the sound to images of products by the Canadian brand No Name.
Origin
On May 10th, 2023, YouTuber[1] SpeedyUpdates uploaded a clip from IShowSpeed's stream where, after much deliberation, he buys a Shrek 'Oop Face' T-shirt for his Roblox avatar listed at 18 million Robux, which, according to Speed, translates to about $225,000. After hitting buy, Speed experiences instant regret, repeating with tears in his eyes, "Say you swear to god," and, "Say wallahi bro." "Wallahi" is an Arabic phrase essentially meaning "swear to god."[2] The video gained over 1.1 million views in three years.
In early 2026, a version of the audio in which the line is repeated at different pitches went viral on TikTok and became the subject of memes. One early example was posted by TikToker[3] @giomemez on January 28th, 2026, garnering over 413,000 views in two months. It is unclear who first used the clip as a meme.
