It's Not The Vibe STOP refers to edited audio from YouTuber HRH Collective that is spliced with audio from Skyrim. The sound became popularized on TikTok in fall and winter 2021.

Origin

On July 2nd, 2021, YouTuber HRH Collective uploaded a video titled "SHUT UP I'M STRESSED." During the video, she complains about "beachy wave" hairstyles, saying "It's not the vibe," and shouts "STOP" (original video shown below, left. Clip shown below, right).

On November 24th, 2021, Tumblr user schakira posted[2] an edit of the clip with a Skyrim shout, gaining over 21,000 notes. On November 25th, 2021, TikTok user sloppyyy_toppy reposted the clip, gaining over 221,000 likes (shown below). On November 30th, user @grisastre_ , who is Schakira on Tumblr, claimed credit for creating the edit (shown below, right).

Over the following weeks, the sound was used in over 123,000 TikTok videos,[1] primarily in sketches showing an argument or a moment of intense frustration. For example, on December 16th, 2021, user @aileenchristineee posted a sketch showing an argument, gaining over 1.6 million likes (shown below, left). On December 3rd, user santosthelibra posted a sketch of himself getting frustrated with friends, gaining over 1.2 million likes (shown below, right).
