About
It's Okay I'm A "Lesbo" is a 4 panel cringe meme involving Mavis from Hotel Transylvania and Rapunzel from Tangled. The four-panel comic has Mavis asking Rapunzel if she did kiss her, Rapunzel admitting she did, to which Mavis declares that she 'is a "lesbo"' prompting Rapunzel to say 'You Better Be!', and has gone on to spawn several other meme formats and remixes for the following years.
Origin
On June 11th, 2018, Tumblr[1] user Gothgfs posted the image on Tumblr, tagging it as original and happy pride day, earning 19000 likes in three years (shown below).
The meme template was quickly picked up by others on OKBuddyRetard, with several iterations being made. In these newer versions, Rapunzel is switched out for random different characters from various other properties, or even real life pictures of people. This can be seen in the Reddit[2] post on November 30th, 2018, that received 100 upvotes in two years (shown below).
Spread
On June 26, 2019, Twitter[3] user @Calazotauvu uploaded a version of the meme that uses Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story 4 as a way to flip it into being different characters from the original two, as well as making it into gay instead of lesbo, earning 400 likes in two years (shown below).
On September 4th, 2019, the website Me.Me[4] uploaded a version of the meme that uses Jeanne D'Arc and Jeanne Alter from Fate Grand Order.
