Jesus Skating in Skate 3 to Pearl Jam's "Even Flow," also known as Steezus Christ, Jesus on the Third Day or Jesus on the 3rd Day, refers to multiple videos showing Jesus Christ doing big air skateboard tricks in the video game Skate 3 while "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam plays as the background song. The original meme showed Jesus doing a "Christ air" with the top caption reading, "POV: Jesus Christ on the third day," in reference to Jesus' Biblical resurrection. Multiple video memes using the same song and similar Skate clips surfaced on TikTok and YouTube, predominantly surfacing in early 2023.

Origin

On December 24th, 2022, TikToker^[9] dikkaesistlance posted a video with a top caption reading, "POV: Jesus Christ on the third day." The video showed a Skate 3 character resembling Jesus doing big air tricks and landing a "Chirst air" into a mega ramp as the song "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam^[2] played in the background. Over the course of a month and a half, the TikTok received roughly 15,000 plays and 1,200 likes (shown below, left). It is currently the first-known posting of the video. On the same day, TikToker^[1] lhitbox posted the same video but slightly cropped, earning roughly 5.7 million plays and 622,400 likes in the same time period (shown below, right).

Spread

On January 18th, 2023, TikToker^[3] lhitbox posted the same video but used the song "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd as the background song, earning roughly 3.9 million plays and 450,200 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). The video was reposted to YouTube^[4] on January 22nd, earning roughly 6,500 views in two weeks. Soon after, in February 2023, more iterations surfaced. On February 4th, 2023, TikToker^[5] archiv_ed posted an iteration with "Even Flow" and a different yet similar Skate 3 clip, earning roughly 286,300 plays and 59,700 likes in three days (since deleted).

On February 6th, 2023, TikToker^[6] willy_cooke posted an iteration with text overlay reading, "explain this atheist," earning roughly 735,300 plays and 162,100 likes in one day (shown below). Around the same time, the trend was referenced on Twitter^[7][8] by users that enjoyed the meme.
