About

Jim, also referred to as Jime and sometimes Jimbo , is a divine being in a cult going by the name of Sons of P'taah. Jim can take on many forms, as evidenced by the proof in the cult's first video "ptaah is jime??? (from 2009)" ^[1] and their third upload "Nurul AZAM ∗Praise jim∗ resurrection from［1827］" ^[2]. In certain Discord circles, the image of Jim can provoke extreme laughter due to its ironic comedic value. On Instagram , posts are more often accompanied by a reference to "p'raise" (example) rather than an image of Jim himself. "To p'raise X" where X is Jim/Jime/Jimbo is a phrase primarily associated with the cult and Jim's inherent power and status in it and is often used in insanely ironic contexts. Because of this, Normies have a very hard time relating to Jim and the memes surrounding his existence.

Origin

It is rumored that Jim's creation took place on a Discord server. While ironically jeff'ing, user Ebnetboy ^[3] replaced the name "Jeff" with "Jim", prompting extensive humourous responses. A quick google search revealed that Jim actually existed ^[4] under the name "Jim DeFede" and looked like this:

Following this revelation, Jim was promptly incorporated into the "Sons of P'taah" cult lore. He has become a recurring figure, his name being uttered or his photo being displayed in almost every video posted ^[5].

Lore

In "ptaah is jime??? (from 2009)", the Indian narrator and high priest of "Sons of P'taah" proposes that Jime may actually be the God P'taah himself ^[1], using a modified Game Theory intro to emphasize his point. As proof the narrator suggests that Jim and P'taah have never been sighted in the same room in the same dimension. He further maintains that because no-one knows how Jim looks like in real life, it is not inconceivable that Jim is in fact P'taah. He makes his last point explaining that it is common knowledge that P'taah has harnessed time travel, and therefore, Jim may be P'taah from the past, given that it is unknown what P'taah has been doing in this timeline.

In the cult's second video "tribute to jime", various images of Jim are shown ^[6]. The video ends with the message "happy new year 2006", presumably a reference to the meme of 2017 or "current year".

In the following video "Nurul AZAM ∗Praise jim∗ resurrection from［1827］" the classic narrator discusses the surfacing evidence that Jim may indeed have been reincarnated as Nurul Azam. ^[2] He retold the common folk tale that Jim "went into full ascending mode in the year 2006 and ascended into the upper heavens of the earth within the 26th dimension of earth in 2017 as we know it today". After this incident, z'Hansrüedi collected the remaining three parts of Jim's body and tried to revive him. It is then theorized that z'Hansrüedi did in fact succeed In bringing Jim back to life, but in the form of Nurul Azam – who was born at that exact moment. The narrator goes great lengths to prove this, overlaying a picture of Nurul with the famous image of Jim. Astonished by the perfect match of the two photos, the narrator excitedly exclaims that "it is actually the same person!" This concludes the search for scientifically valid proof. The narrator heralds the newly-created Nurul as a part of the eternal trinity and expresses his hope that the latter is able to defeat the evil forces of Windows XP with the help of Ashtar Sheran. Nevertheless, he advises the followers of the cult to "p'raise".

In "tHree relics of trinity EXPLAINED!!!!!'' ! (new world's wisdom of 2076)" the narrator comments on the sacred trinity mentioned in "Nurul AZAM ∗Praise jim∗ resurrection from［1827］" ^[7]. Each member of the trinity acts as a guardian for a sacred relic. In Jim's case, this is Lidl. Lidl was created by Jim when he was "ascending into the divine dimension which is now the residence of P'taah" (From this information it can be deduced that after this ordeal, Jim had to be revived by z'Hansrüedi and was reborn as Nurul Azam). It is explained that P'taah also watches over the relic from his dimension's secret location. Lidl possesses insane attributes: The narrator notes that "it is the second most powerful relic and it represents life".

It is currently unknown whether Jim is directly involved with Divine V'ideo Films.

Spread

Jim, together with other "Sons of P'taah" memes, has primarily spread through Discord. He is popular on servers akin to the "BlazinSkrubs Fanbase server", which at times can be an especially cancerous, but paradoxically immensely ironic environment. Users of this meme are of a rare breed and preferably communicate through memes which exhibit multiple layers of irony. Oftentimes the same crowd also enjoys deep-fried, nuked or surreal memes and may break into tears when presented with a stock image of basic objects or materials, such as a glass of water.
References to Jim and "Sons of P'taah" have also been detected on Instagram ^[8], albeit to a far lesser extent. Discord remains the primary propagation ground for this meme; perhaps because it represents a home for the audience of said and related memes.
