The video features Biden discussing a 1967 Corvette, rather than the vetting process for his vice-presidential candidate. The post received more than 4.1 million views, 116,000 likes and 34,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below).

Following the release of the video, people began reacting to it, with some criticizing the ad, saying it was confusing (examples below, left). Twitter^[1] user @WalkerBragman tweeted, "America today: – 1 in 5 American workers are collecting unemployment – 5 million+ Americans have lost their health insurance – 28 million Americans face eviction…and Joe Biden cuts an ad with his ‘67 Corvette, a car worth roughly $118,000 on avg." The tweet received more than 525 likes and 230 retweets in less than two days (shown below, center). Some appreciated the ad. Twitter user @TVietor08 tweeted,^[2] "This is excellent." The tweet received more than 9,700 likes and 1,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below, right).

On August 6th, Twitter^[3] user @anatasiakeeley tweeted two screenshots from the video in which Biden says, "God, could my dad drive a car. Oof." They captioned the tweet, "What does this mean" (shown below). The tweet received more than 29,000 likes and 2,100 retweets in less than 24 hours (shown below).
