Joe Many Liberals Does It Take to Change a Log by Bolb? is an Instagram comment in which a person attempts to make a lightbulb joke about liberals, botching it with multiple grammatical mistakes. Screenshots of the post went viral, with the comment gaining popularity as a copypasta and being referenced in memes throughout 2021.
Origin
Prior to February 22nd, 2020, an unidentified Instagram user wrote a severely misspelled lightbulb joke in the comments of an unknown post. On February 22nd, 2020, Redditor IrelandIsMyAmerica made the earliest found post containing the screenshot of the post in the /r/okbuddyretard[1] subreddit (screenshot, original text and possible interpretation given below).

How many liberals does it take to change a lightbulb? None, they are too busy questioning their gender.

The post did not see viral spread until September 2020. On March 2nd, 2020, Redditors memesaregudlol and _littlewind posted screenshots of a Facebook remake of the original comment, with the posts gaining over 120 and 290 upvotes in /r/insanepeoplefacebook[2] and /r/TheRightCantMeme[3] subreddits (shown below). On August 22nd, Instagram[4] page softboyproblems posted a screenshot of another remake of the original post.
On September 30th, 2020, Tumblr[5] user desktopdestroyer reposted the screenshot of the Instagram comment, gaining over 55,400 likes and reblogs in one year. On November 8th, 2020, Tumblr[6] user amishsicario responded with the Left Wing Destroyed reaction image (interaction shown below).
Following the posts, both the screenshot of the original post and the Tumblr interaction received viral spread online.
The meme regained popularity in May 2021, after on May 5th Twitter[7] account @RightWingCope posted the screenshot and the Joker's Stand-Up reaction image. The tweet received over 1,800 retweets and 27,200 likes in four months. On the same day, Instagram[8] meme page yourlordandsaviourmemejesus posted the screenshot, with the post gaining over 22,000 likes in four months.
In the following months, the post saw further spread, mostly in combination with various reaction images.
