This meme was inspired by the many Keanu Reeves memes that have been surfacing since the Cyberpunk 2077 reveal, and the Drake format meme. What sets this meme apart from the Drake meme is the images being on the right, the "approves" and "disapproves" text on Keanu's face, and that the images of Keanu are from different instances (one's from an interview, and another from a move).^[1][2]

Origin

Created by Alien_Drew, the first meme appeared on reddit about normal memes vs keanu memes.^[3] The creator posted the meme template on Imgur for anyone else to use.^[4] The font used on it is ariel, and a 2 pixel black outline for the text on the right side of the image. Alien_Drew also goes by TheAlienDrew (e.g. on iFunny), AlienDrew, and AL13NDR3W.

Spread

Although it started out on reddit, there has been a few more posts by the creator on other subreddits, such as r/Memes, and on iFunny.^[5][6] It's assumed that others have been made, but it's not known at this time.
