Kendall Jenner Cucumber Girl refers to a viral video taken from a 2022 episode of The Kardashians in which Kendall Jenner struggles to slice a cucumber and refuses the assistance of her mother and the family's chef. The clip was largely mocked on social media where it appeared in reaction videos and later earned her the nickname "Cucumber Girl" from her sister, Kylie.

Origin

In the May 12th, 2022 episode of The Kardashians,^[1] Kendall Jenner attempts to make herself a snack by slicing some cucumbers. Kris Jenner asks Kendall if she'd prefer the house chef to make a snack, but Kendall insists on slicing cucumbers because it's "pretty easy." She then contorts her arms such that her arm holding the cucumber is far away from the knife, also dangerously placing her fingers near the blade, resulting in an awkward sequence (edited clip by cater2me shown below).

Jenner was quickly mocked on social media for her awkward cucumber-cutting skills. For example, on May 12th, 2022, TikToker @jessthereporter isolated the clip, gaining over 290,000 likes in two weeks (shown below, left). TikToker @Michelleandrews did the same shortly after, gaining over 1.7 million likes in two weeks (shown below, right).

That same day on Twitter, user @brodielancaster^[2] joked, "Obsessed with Kendall Jenner trying to prove she’s not an out of touch spoiled rich girl by insisting on making her own snack and almost dislocating her shoulder trying to slice a cucumber," gaining over 720 retweets and 10,000 likes in two weeks (shown below, left). User @rundooz7^[3] wrote, "I just saw a TikTok of Kendall Jenner attempting to chop a cucumber and it’s the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen in my life," gaining over 120 likes in two weeks (shown below, right).

For her part, Jenner responded to a joke about her cutting skills with a tweet that read "tragic!"^[4]

On May 23rd, Kylie Jenner posted a TikTok with Kendall at Kourtney Kardashian's wedding, captioning the video "Me and Cucumber Girl."
