Commenters nostalgically described the artwork as an iconic piece of Tumblr-era fan art, with many saying it reminded them of their adolescence and joking that it "belongs in a museum" or "history books."

On October 30th, 2023, X^[3] user @guysokso posted a real-life recreation of the illustration, reenacting the pose with the original artwork. The post garnered over 1.4 million views and 56,000 likes in less than three years

On April 1st, 2025, Redditor^[3] posted a redraw to r/TrixieAndKatya, replacing the original figures with Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova while preserving the original composition and caption, receiving over 420 upvotes in about a year.
