About

Larry David's Zoom Call Framing refers to a viral image of American comedian Larry David during a Zoom call with the cast of HBO's comedy series Veep. David's bad framing and static appearance during the video became used as a reaction image in late September and early October 2024, often used on X, formerly Twitter, to indicate a lack of desire or simply a state of shock amid an unexpected event.

Origin

On September 29th, 2024, X[1] user @thjoyluckclub uploaded a screenshot of a virtual reunion of HBO's Veep comedy series cast and table read with help from Larry David and Stephen Colbert. The user pointed out that David was "horribly framed" in the video conference, with most of his body out of frame and only his torso appearing in the video. The post (seen below) amassed over 10 million views and 19,000 likes in two days.
